COURSE OBJECTIVES

    ? Describe the reproductive system.

    ? Describe the application of sound nutritional protocols for ensuring healthy children and

    prevention of compromised health of infants and mothers.

    ? Assess nutritional requirements and development of diet and menu planning for reproduction

    and preparation for pregnancy.

    ? Explain the factors affecting male and female fertility including the effects of body fat,

    dieting, weight balance and foods that support fertility

    ? Educate clients regarding the differences and similarities of nutrient needs and life cycle

    challenges of people in each stage of life growth and development.

    ? Assess individual nutrient needs through questionnaire and interview via completion of a

    case study.

    ? Assess nutrition status, energy and nutrient requirements, diet-related concerns of pregnancy,

    lactation, infants, children, adolescents, and older adults

    ? Develop diet and menu planning for pregnancy, lactation, infants, children, adolescents, and

    older adults

    ? Describe the effects of nutrition on genetic predisposition and the nutrients required to affect

    genetic expression.

    ? Discuss the biomarkers of aging and apply basic exercise principles to anti aging.

    ? Explain the causes of the accelerated metabolic aging process and the importance of the

    interaction of hormones.

    ? Discuss the nutritional regeneration process to prevent and reverse accelerated aging.
