1.1 HDLM 5.2 for AIX

    1、安装前的准备要求:

    Host bus adaptors

    Fibre Channel I/F adaptorsIBM FC6228

    NoteIBM FC6228

     The 4.3.3.75 driver (or later) is required for AIX? 4.3.3

AIX operating system

     AIX 4.3.3: Recommended Maintenance Level 09-11, IY37841

Prerequisite programs

    Before installing HDLM, make sure the following required programs are installed:

     VisualAge C++ Runtime 5.0.0.0 or later. The IY33524 patch is required for

    VisualAge C++ Runtime 6.0.0.0

     IBM Runtime Environment for AIX, Java 2 Technology Edition 1.3.1

    2ODM的安装,以保证认识的是Hitachi的磁盘系统:

     (1) Copy fileset to an AIX directory (/usr/sys/inst.images).

     # cd /cdrom/aix_odm/V5.0.0.1

     # cp HDS_FC_ODM2.bff /usr/sys/inst.images

     (2) Create a new .toc file

     # cd /usr/sys/inst.images

     # inutoc .

     (3) Use installp to install the AIX support fileset

     # smitty install -choose 5.0.0.1 AIX Support for Hitachi Disk Arrays

     a) Select option “Install and Update Software”

     b) Select option “Install Software”

     c) When prompted for Input Device / directory for software , type

     /usr/sys/inst.images

     d) Use the F4 key to list packages to install

     e) 将光标移到需安装的软件,再按F7 ,此时,在其左边出现一个“>”,and press enter

     --> 5.0.0.1 AIX Support for Hitachi Disk Arrays

     --> Pressing the “Enter” key will start the install process

     5.0.0.1升级到5.0.0.4版本:

     (01) Copy fileset to an AIX directory (/usr/sys/inst.images).

     # cd /cdrom/aix_odm/V5.0.0.4u

     # cp HDS_FC_ODMUPD_5004U /usr/sys/inst.images

     (02) Create a new .toc file

     # cd /usr/sys/inst.images

     # inutoc .

     (03) Use installp to install the AIX support fileset

     # smitty install -choose 5.0.0.1 AIX Support for Hitachi Disk Arrays

     a) Select option “Install and Update Software”

     b) Select option “Install Software”

     c) When prompted for Input Device / directory for software , type

     /usr/sys/inst.images

     d) Use the F4 key to list packages to install

     e) 将光标移到需安装的软件,再按F7 key ,此时,在其左边出现一个“>”,and press

    enter

     --> 5.0.0.4 AIX Support for Hitachi Disk Arrays

     --> Pressing the “Enter” key will start the install process

     注意:当出现“@”,则表示该软件已经被安装!!!!!

     (4) remove HDS devices already defined as “Other FC SCSI”

     # rmdev -dl fcs0 -R 删除HBA-0上的设备;

     # rmdev -dl fcs1 -R 删除HBA-1上的设备;

     (5)让系统重新认一下设备;

     # cfgmgr

     # lsdev -Cc disk 再次显示;

    3HDLM的安装:

1. Log in to AIX as a user with root privileges.

2. Insert the CD-ROM into the drive. You do not need to mount anything.

3. # mkdir /var/DLM

     # echo "PPQ4567IRSTXYZFGH9EE" > /var/DLM/dlm.lic_key

     HDLMLisence KeyPPQ4567IRSTXYZFGH9EE

     Or copy the license key file such as ***.plk to /var/tmp/hdlm_license.

4. Execute the following installation command:

     # installp -aXgd /cdrom all

5. Follow the instruction shown in the messages that appear on the window.

6. Execute the following command to make sure that the package is installed.

     # lslpp -L DLManager.rte

     确保文件DLManager.rte被安装.

7. Execute the following command as required, to add /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin to

     the PATH environment variable.

     When using a Bourne shell or Korn shell:

     # PATH=$PATH:/usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin

     # export PATH

8. We want to let the HDLM driver recognize all the physical volumes

     that can be managed by HDLM, this step is unnecessary.

     Go to step 9.

9. Execute the following command to start the HDLM configuration manager.

     # /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlmcfgmgr

     Start HDLM to execute commandstartsrc s DLMManager

     Stop HDLM to execute commandstopsrc s DLMManager

10. Execute the following command to make sure that the HDLM drivers (dlmfdrvn) and

     HDLM alert driver (dlmadrv) are loaded into the running kernel and are available.

     # lsdev -C | grep dlm

     可以看见类似如下的输出:

     dlmadrv Available HDLM Alert Driver

     dlmfdrvio Available HDLM Driver

     dlmfdrv0 Available HDLM Driver

     为证实HDLM绑定的作用,做如下命令:

     # /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr view -drv | grep -w dlmfdrv0

     000024 dlmfdrv0 hdisk5 THUNDER9200.0010.0007

     000025 dlmfdrv0 hdisk7 THUNDER9200.0010.0007

     # pwd

     /

     # cd /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin

     # ./dlnkmgr view -drv | grep -w dlmfdrv0

     检查HDLM系统的状态:

     # /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr view -sys

     HDLM Version : 05-02

     当以上信息输出的时候,意味着HDLM已经正确地安装完毕了。

     4HDLM的配置:

root用户登录的条件下,运行如下命令:

    启用load balancing

    /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -lb on -lbtype rr

    启用健康检查:

    /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -pchk on -intvl 1

    启用automatic failback

    /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -afb on -intvl 20

/usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -ellv 2

/usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -systflv 1

/usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -elfs 9900

/usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set -rsv on 2

Chdev l dlmfdrvn a pv=yes

Bootinfo K

Install HACMP and stop it

    Adding a Custom Cluster Event

    Register the HDLM script for HACMP:

    1. from the smit window, display the add a custom cluster event window.

    2. choose the following sequence of menu items to display this window:

    3. Communications Applications and Services,

    4. HACMP for AIX,

    5. Extended Configuration, 6. Extended Event Configuration, 7. Configure Pre/Post-Event Commands, and finally choose

    8. Add a Custom Cluster Event. 9. in the Add a Custom Cluster Event window, specify the items as shown below:

    10. Cluster event name:

11. dlm_hacmp_disk_available

    12. Cluster event description:

    13. dlm_hacmp_disk_available

    14. Script file name for the cluster event:

    15. /usr/DynamicLinkManager/cluster/dlm_hacmp_disk_available

    16. when you finish specifying the settings, click the OK button.

    17. form the smit windows, display the Extended Event Configuration window. 18. choose the following sequence of menu items to display this window:

    19. Communications Applications and Services,

    20. HACMP for AIX,

    21. Extended Configuration,

    22. Extended Event Configuration, and finally choose

    23. Change/Show Predefined HACMP Events.

    24. in the Extended Event Configuration window, select the following event in

    25. Select Event Name to Change:

    26. get_disk_vg_fs

    27. the Change/Show Cluster Events window appears

    28. in the Pre-event Command list box, specify dlm_hacmp_disk_available. Do not

    change any other items.

    29. when you finish the setup, click the OK button.

    30. from the smit window, display the HACMP Verification and Synchronization window to

    execute cluster resource synchronization.

    31. choose the following sequence of menu items:

    32. Communications Applications and Services, HACMP for AIX, Extended Configuration,

    and finally choose Extended Verification and Synchronization.

    Adding Custom Disk Methods

    1. from the smit window, display the Add Custom Disk Methods window.

    2. choose the following sequence of menu items to display this window:

    3. Communications Applications and Services,

    4. HACMP for AIX,

    5. Extended Configuration,

    6. Extended Resource Configuration,

    7. HACMP Extended Resource Configuration,

    8. Configure Custom Disk Methods, and finally choose

    9. Add Custom Disk Methods.

    10. in the Add Custom Disk Methods window, specify the items as shown below:

    11. Disk Type (PdDvln field from CuDv):

    disk/node/dlmfdrv

13. /usr/DynamicLinkManager/cluster/dlm_hacmp_gdisk_check

    12. Method to identify ghost disks:

    and finally choose Extended Verification and Synchronizaton.

Setting the Reservation Level

    If the HACMP resources belong to a non-concurrent resource group, set the reservation level to 2 before the HACMP service is started. The reservation level must be the same in all of the hosts

    that comprise the cluster.

    The following is a sample command execution:

    # /usr/DynamicLinkManager/bin/dlnkmgr set rsv on 2

Setting the clconraid.dat file

    Before using HACMP in concurrent mode, be sure to add dlmfdrv to the

    /usr/sbin/cluster/diag/clconraid.dat file.
