Education as lifelong progress
From the very beginning of our lives, we are receiving education all the time. In childhood, we learned to speak from people around us. Then, we go to kindergarten, primary school, secondary school, high school and college for further study. Actually, we have learned a lot during the two decades of students’ life. However, is it enough?
Some people simply see education as going to schools or colleges, or as a means to secure good jobs. Sadly, the results can be humbling to them. Well, as it turns out, these people are the ones to face discrimination in cutthroat job market. Their opinion is one-sided;as
the society is changing and developing continually, education is not something that can be completed once for all. We should move with the times instead of standing still or feeding on fantasy. In my point of view, we ought to learn not only when we are in school but also for our whole life, for it’s never too old to learn.
Besides, education should attach importance to not only knowledge but also good manners and moral characters. Just as the saying goes, learn whatever it may be, whenever you can, and wherever you will.
