    NO WRITTEN EXAM IS REQUIRED The register titles listed below use the “eligible” grading method and do not require a written test. All candidates who meet the minimum qualifications for the job receive an unranked score of 99, indicating they are "eligible" to be hired. Candidates

    eligible for Veterans' Preference receive a score of either 104 or 109 (disabled veterans). To apply for a score, write the

    Register Titles in which you are interested on your application (SF-10) and submit it to Civil Service. Veterans must include

    a copy of their DD214 and, if disabled, a letter from the Veterans' Administration dated within the last 6 months indicating a service-connected disability. State agencies may hire anyone who has a rating when a position becomes vacant.     purchasing, personnel management, planning, research, or analysis. Three years of which must have involved the

    supervision of one or more professionals in the fields of engineering, accounting, purchasing, personnel management, planning, research, or analysis; or three years of this experience must have been at the advanced

    level in budgeting.

    8891 Budget Manager $3023 - $6807 A baccalaureate degree plus five years of professional level experience in accounting; auditing; budgeting; purchasing; personnel; planning; research and/or analysis; financial services; or in an administrative services

    position responsible for one or more of the following functions: accounting, auditing, budgeting, purchasing,

    personnel, planning, financial services, or research and/or analysis. Two years of this experience must have been

    at the journeyman level or above.

    8889 Contracts/Grants Reviewer 2 $2155 - $4536 A baccalaureate degree plus one year of the following*(See Below):

    8889 Contracts/Grants Reviewer 3 $2467 - $5193 A baccalaureate degree plus two years of the following*(See Below):

    *Professional level experience in the negotiation, implementation, evaluation, monitoring, or financial auditing of contracts, grants and/or leases; procurement; financial management; accounting; or contracts or grants

    management.

    8891 Housing Finance Manager $3462 -$ 7284 A baccalaureate degree plus six years of professional experience in housing block grants work; in underwriting,

    originating, servicing, closing, packaging or reviewing of loans; in multi-family residential lending; in multi-family property appraisal; in inspection to verify compliance with and enforcement of regulatory laws; in urban

    planning; in public housing management; in asset management in a Section 8 program; in the monitoring of

    governmental housing programs for compliance with statutes and other program requirements (in a regulatory

    agency or an agency/company internal program); as a trust officer; or business operations at the manager level. 8889 Management Intern $2014 - $4240 A Master's in Accounting, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, Finance, Health

    Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Health, or a Juris Doctorate. NOTE: State agencies will have considerable flexibility as to how they utilize the

    Management Intern job. The intention is that following a successful internship; the incumbent would be placed

    in a permanent position above the entry professional level.

    8889 Policy Planner 2 $2640 - $5557 Requires either of the following: A master’s degree plus one year of professional journeyman level experience

    in planning, research, and analysis OR a baccalaureate degree plus three years of professional level experience in

    planning, research and analysis.

    8891 Revenue Tax Officer Supervisor $2640 - $5557 A baccalaureate degree plus three years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, tax enforcement,

    taxpayer assistance, or tax collection.

    8892 State Budget Management Analyst 1 $2825 - $5945 A baccalaureate degree.

    8889 State Budget Management Analyst 2 $3234 - $ 5945 A baccalaureate degree plus four years of professional level experience in budget development or analysis; policy research analysis and development; strategic and operational planning; budget or fiscal analysis; program

    management; or public finance.

    8889 State Budget Management Analyst 3 $3704 - $7793 A baccalaureate degree plus six years of professional level experience in budget development or analysis; policy

    research analysis and development; strategic and operational planning; budget or fiscal analysis; program

    management; or public finance, two years of which must have been at the journeyman level.
