Page 2 of 8 SSS 121205

Step 2

Prepare shelves (B-2) by inserting

twelve 2 piece metal connectors (F)

into holes on the bottom of each shelf.

Ensure that slots on outside edge of 2

piece metal connectors (F) are parallel

to holes in edge of shelf. Also ensure

that the inside piece of the 2 piece

    metal connector (F) is loosened

sufficiently to allow the metal post (E)

to pass through. This will allow the

metal post (E) to slide through the shelf (B-2) and into the 2 piece metal connector (F) in the following steps.

    Step 3

Attach the top shelf (B-2) to the side

assembly. Align metal post (E) on inside face of side assembly (B3) with the hole in the end of the shelf make

sure that holes are facing toward the bottom of the side assembly. Press shelf (B-2) firmly into place; tighten inside of 2 piece metal connector (F) with Phillips screwdriver. Repeat with two additional shelves.

     Step 4

Lay Drawer Unit (B-1) on its side on a

non-abrasive surface with the metal posts pointing toward the back. Lay the Side Panel (B-3) with shelves

attached on its side with the shelf holes facing the posts from the drawer unit (B-1). Align the posts form the drawer

unit (B-1) with the holes in the shelves and place and firmly press together. Securely tighten the six 2 piece metal connectors.

Step 5

Lay top (B-4) flat on non-abrasive surface with bottom faxing up. Prepare top (B-4) by

screwing 4 metal posts (E) into metal receivers on the bottom of the top. Hand tighten metal posts.

    Step 6

Prepare the assembled Drawer Unit and Bookcase by inserting four 2 piece metal connectors (F) into holes inside the drawer unit (B-1) and on the side panel (B-3). Ensure

that slots on outside edge of 2 piece metal connectors (F) are parallel to holes in edge of shelf. Also ensure that the inside piece of the 2 piece metal connector (F) is loosened sufficiently to allow the metal post (E) to pass through. This will allow the metal post (E) to

slide through the holes in the top of the assembled Drawer Unit and into the 2 piece metal connector (F) in the following steps.

Note: You may find this easier by removing the top drawer of the Drawer Unit (B-1). To do

this, pull out the drawer to its stop. The drawer can be released from the runner hardware by pressing the tabs located on each side of the drawer bottom toward the drawer side. Then pull the drawer out.

    Step 7

Note: Drawer unit/Bookcase can be placed on the left or right side of final

configuration. Top panel needs to be positioned with 2 through holes for steel bunk pins on the outside edge.

Attach top (B-4) to the Drawer Unit/Bookcase by aligning the metal posts (E) from the top (B-4) with the holes in top of the Drawer Unit/Bookcase. Press top assembly into place and securely tighten the four 2 piece metal connectors (F) with Phillips screwdriver.
