    INVITED SPEAKERS AND CHAIRS

    Prof. Amos D. Korczyn, MD, PhD is Professor of Neurology at the Sackler School of Medicine and

    Chairman of the Helsinki Committee at Tel Aviv University. He is also Chairman of the Neurology

    Department at the Tel Aviv Medical Center. Dr. Korczyn was educated at the Hebrew University,

    Jerusalem, where he earned his Master's degree in Pharmacology Summa Cum Laude before

    receiving his medical degree. Dr. Korczyn currently serves on the editorial and advisory boards of a

    number of scientific journals, including the Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry and Neurology,

    Alzheimer's Disease and Associated Disorders, and Clinical Neuropharmacology

    Luiza Spiru, M.D., Ph.D. is Lecturer at “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Bucharest,

    Senior Physician in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics & Gerontology and Gerontopsychiatry. Head of the

    Geriatrics & Geronto-Psychiatry Clinic and Head of the Day Center of Memory Impairment to “Elias”

    University Hospital. She is also CEO of Neurotech International Clinical Trial Company. She is

    associated editor of “Brain Aging International Journal” and has published over 50 articles, 3

    treatises of Geriatrics & Gerontology and Guides for the diagnosis and treatment of Dementias. She

    has a major involvement as coordinator of several research and developing projects, and clinical

    studies. Since 2003 she is organising the “Brain Aging” International Conference and numerous

    national and international trainings and workshops on Memory Impairment Diseases.

    Prof. Moussa B.H. Youdim, Ph.D. holds joint appointments at the Technion-Israel

    Institute of Technology: as Professor of Pharmacology in the Faculty of Medicine,

    Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and

    as the Finkelstein Professor of Life Sciences in the Faculty of Medicine. He is the

    Director of the Eve Topf Neurodegenerative Diseases Center of Excellence for Teaching

    and Research and the Director of the USA National Parkinson Foundation Center of

    Excellence at the Technion Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Youdim is the recipient of

    numerous prizes, honors and awards internationally, is a member of major scientific

    and professional associations and has served on the Editorial Boards of many learned

    journals. His publications reflect Prof. Youdim's extensive research interests and

    experience in Israel, Canada, the U.S. and throughout Europe. The holder of numerous patents, Prof. Youdim is

    a world-renowned authority on neurodegenerative diseases and neuropsychiatric drug development.
