CONDITION OF THE SYSTEM SATISFACTORY

PARTICIPANT: ALL CREW MEMBERS

COMMENT OF THE DRILL :

    1342: Emergency alarm sounded: 7 short blasts followed by 1 long blast on the ships general alarm followed by announce that abandon ship.

    1344: All crew mustered with protective equipments in respective station , head count taken,

     Life jackets lights and whistles inspected all found in good order. Personal protective

     equipments inspected found satisfactory. Communication tested on two ways VHF 16 found

     satisfactory. Explain crews to L/B launching procedure.

    1348: Duties ascertained for each crew and well understand.

    1354: Tested lifeboat lights, life boat engines and all crew briefed start & stop procedure, L/B wires, checked L/B oil level, sea chest v/v close position , rollers and winches greased and found in

    good condition. Explained crews for procedure of water spray and self contained compressed air

    breathing system.

     1420: Stbd side lifeboat lowered into the water, standby quick release system

     1424: Port side lifeboat lowered into the water, standby quick release system.

REMARKS: 1. Crew response was generally good as a routine exercise.

    2. L/B lowering down speed maintained around 50M/min, hoisting speed around 5M/min.
