This document provides a record of the headteacher performance management process, from

    self-evaluation and preliminary advice to annual review statement.

Stage 1:

    The headteacher and governors each have an opportunity to evaluate the headteacher’s

    achievement against the previous objectives and to share this with the SIP.

Stage 2:

    The SIP completes a preliminary advice section and shares this with the headteacher and

    governors.

Stage 3:

    Review of last year and the wording of objectives for the current year are agreed at the meeting.

Stage 4:

    This document is signed by the appointed governors and thus becomes the annual planning and

    review statement for the headteacher.
