Objectives: The HERMES project, supported by the European Commission, aims to increase

collaboration between the Mediterranean countries and the European Union by increasing awareness on the possible collaboration platforms in the following areas:

    ? Technologies for Business Processes

    ? Smart Organizations, Electronic Commerce

    ? Multimedia content and tools

    ? WWW technologies

    ? Knowledge Management

The ultimate aim of the project is to achieve this collaboration in the form of joint projects. The Ankara workshop is the first of a series of workshops, which will be the means to achieve this purpose through “proposal markets”. Please find the submitted project proposal drafts at http://www.srdc.metu.edu.tr/hermesProject/market.html. The other workshops will be

organized in Amman and in Athens.
