NHST Media Group acquires majority stake in Newsdesk AB
Oslo/Stockholm (07/08/2008): The Norwegian NHST Media Group today announced that it
has acquired a majority stake in the Swedish company Newsdesk AB.
Newsdesk has developed an innovative model for the distribution of business PR content
and represents an important addition to NHST’s online portfolio. Having established a
leading position in the Swedish market, Newsdesk is now set for further international

In addition to its ownership of the leading business news brands in Norway - Dagens
Næringsliv and DN.no – NHST Media Group is a significant player in the global business to business news publishing market, with global number one positions for its news publications
in the oil and gas sector (Upstream), the shipping sector (TradeWinds) and the seafood
sector (Intrafish) and the recently established renewable energy publication REcharge.

general public, as a supplement to traditional news media. The service currently has 500,000
unique visitors per month and provides a social network for companies that want to directly
or indirectly communicate with its primary target groups.
Newsdesk has been in rapid growth in recent years, posting revenues of SEK 9.4m in 2007
and expecting revenues of SEK 20m in 2008 and a financial margin in excess of 5%. The
company is headquartered in Stockholm and currently has 25 employees.
