BusinessWeek magazine Nov 7 Jo Mei Chang (Vitria) named her an Entrepreneur of the Year for 2000, and cited Vitria as one of the "new software whizzes." In 2001, The New York Times profiled her in an article entitled, "Calm in crisis is in her blood." Nov 14 Craig Newmark Jo Mei is an entrepreneur as well as an inventor. In the mid-1980s, she developed the digital (craigslist.org) trader workstation that fundamentally changed how the Wall Street trading community accesses real-time information. In the early 1980s, as a senior research scientist at AT&T's Bell Laboratories, she authored the first patented reliable multicast protocol, and pioneered the Nov 28 Rich Redelfs & Teresa research and development in this important area for the next decade.
