    Module 7 Time off

    Unit1 She asked if I was practicing too much.

    (The First Lesson)

    Learning task:

    1.To get the main ideas of the listening material and the

    conversation;(the importance)

    2.To learn the topic words through listening and reading and use

    them to solve the problems. (the importance)

    3.To experience(感受) indirect speech in context(上下文) of the

    conversation(the importance and the difficulty)

    Step 1 Presentation

    I will show some pictures of Baihai Park.And ask the students to enjoy the pictures and ask some students to describe the pictures about Beihai Park.

    Step 2 Activity 1 Look at the photo and listen.What does the conversation say about the photo?

    **Ask the students to look at the photo and listen to the recording. **They can then share their ideas with a partner **Call back the answer from the whole class.

    Step 3 Activity 2 Answer the questions.Use the words in the box to help them.

    **Read through the words in the box with the whole class and have them repeat them chorally and individually.

    **Ask the students to answer the questions individually,then check with a partner.

    **Call back the answers from the whole class,having one student ask a question and another answer it.

    Step 4 Choose the best answer.

    **Ask the students to complete the sentences individually,then check with a partner.

    **Call back the answers from the whole class as complete sentences.

    Step 5 Activity 3 Listen and read

    **First I will show two easy questions ,the students will listen to the tape and answer them.Then I will show another two or three questions ,the students listen to the tape again and answer them. **Ask the students to follow the conversation in their books while they listen to the recording.At the same time we’ll learn the

    Learning Task:

    1.Revise something in last English lesson.(Do some exercises and have a dictation.)

    2.Do with Activity 5-Activity 7.

    Teaching steps:

    Step 1 Revision

    **First read Activity 3 together for twice.Then do some exercises on the computer.

    **Have a dictation about the important sentences in Activity

    Step 3.Do with Activity 5

    Answer the questions about the words in the box. **Read through the words in the box with the whole class and have them repeat them chorally and individually.

**Pay attention to the words”environment and protect”,whic

    h have the stress on the second syllable.

    **Ask the students to answer the questions individually,then

     check with a partner.

    **Call back the answers from the whole class,having one student ask a question and another answer it.

    Pronunciation and speaking

    Say the sentences aloud.Make sure they link the sounds. **Ask the students to say the sentences to themselves. **Play the recording a couple of times for them to listen and follow.

    *Play it again,pausing after sense groups for them to repeat

     chorally and individually.

    **Ask them to work in pairs to say and check each other’s

     production.

    **Cirdulate and monitor their production.

    Step 5 Activity 7

    Work in pairs.Think about one or two of the following situ

    **Ask the students to do this in pairs.

    **They can then share their work with another pair. **If we have some time,I will have some students tell the whole class.

    Step 6 Homework:

    Read and recite Activity 3.

    Do Unit 1 of another book .

    Unit 2Lingling’s uncle told us not to worry.

    1.To have a general idea of what the reading passage mainly talks about;

    2.To develop students’ predicting ability through the title;

    3.To learn and try to sue the useful phrases and words occurring in the passage.

    Teaching steps:

    **Read through the box with the whole class,and discuss the contents with them.

    **I will show an exercise about Activity 3 .The students will read it and finish it.

    **Listen to the tape and learn the teaching points.

    a few / a little 为肯定含义:还有一点

     There is little time left. 几乎没剩下什么时间了。
