Hello, teachers and judges. I’m happy to explain my lesson here today. The lesson I’m
going to talk about is from Unit__Part__Let’s__in Primary English Students’ Book__.
I’d like to talk about it from three parts: teaching material, teaching and learning methods and teaching procedure.
First of all, I’d like to talk about teaching material. My understanding of this teaching material includes 4 parts.
Firstly, I’d like to talk about the status and the function. I think this lesson is very important, because it involves the language that students can use in their daily life. For example, (结合具体课文说一点)Through learning this lesson, students can (结合
Secondly, I’d like to talk about teaching aims. I want to talk about it from three aspects.
The first aspect is aims on knowledge:
One, Ss can listen, speak, read and write the new words/phrase/sentences……..
The second aspect is aims on ability:
One, Ss can develop their abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing. Two, Ss can develop their abilities of communication and cooperation. The third aspect is aims on emotion:
One, Ss can find out that learning English is very useful.
Two, Ss can develop their correct attitude towards English learning.
Thirdly, I want to talk about key-points:
Ss can listen, speak, read and write the new words/phrase/sentences……..
Fourthly, I’d like to talk about difficult-points:
Ss can use the knowledge into practice.
That’s my understanding of teaching material, now let’s talk about teaching and
Firstly, I’d like to talk about teaching methods.
I adopt Total Situational Action and Task-based teaching methods in my teaching. The former is a “scene activity” teaching method. It establishes a real scene and the interaction between teacher and Ss.
The latter offers Ss an opportunity to finish tasks in which Ss can use the language. They focus on meaning. They are free to use any language they want. At the same time, I will make use of multi-media, word cards and all kinds of means. They can mobilize the Ss enthusiasm and creativity in learning English. (如果有Let’ do再加上全身反应法)
Total Physical Response teaching method. It bases on the coordination of speech and action. It is very effective with children. It really helps students to remember the
words and phrases.
Secondly, let’s talk about learning methods.
In order to help Ss cultivate good study habits and form effective study tactics. I will guide them to use the following learning methods.
ne is cooperation work, for example, group work. This kind of learning methods can O
help Ss to develop their abilities of communication and cooperation. The other is probe work. Ss learn the knowledge by themselves with the knowledge they learned before. This kind of learning methods can help Ss develop their ability of learning and help them to find their own way to learn.
Now, let’s talk about the most important part—teaching procedure. I divide my
teaching procedure into three steps. I’ll talk about them separately.
Step one is warm-up and greeting. This step will take about five minutes. Firstly, warm-up. At the beginning of the class, the whole class will sing an English song. For example,………
Secondly, greeting. I will have a daily greeting with the Ss. For example, Why I spend five minutes on this step, because the song and the greeting can make Ss feel pleased and satisfied. What’s more, the song and the greeting can draw Ss’
attention to the class and enliven the atmosphere of the whole class. That is to say, the song and the greeting form a better English learning environment.
Step two is presentation and practice.
Firstly, present the new words/phrases/sentences.
In order to present the new words/phrases:…………… I will show them a cartoon
character Kenan by multi-media. Kenan will say hello to the Ss, they must be very happy. (然后根据具体课文,讲述有关苛南的事情,创设情景引出新知)
Secondly, practice the new words/phrases.
In order to practice the new words/phrases……………….I will use some game.
Game one: High and low. Take the word pen for example, if I say pen in a high voice, pen, the students should say in a low voice, pen. On the contrary, if I say pen in a low voice, pen, the students should say in a high voice, pen.
Game two: How many fingers, how many times. Take the word bag for example. When I show them the word, I will show them fingers. If I show them two fingers, they should say two times. bag, bag. If I show them three fingers, they should say three times, bag, bag, bag.
Game three: Watch my mouth. Take the word pencil for example, I say the word pencil without sound, the students watch my lips carefully and guess what am I saying.
In order to teach the spelling of the new words/phrases:……………..I will use some
Game one: pull together. Take the word big for example, the first student say the first letter b, the second say the second, the third say the third and the last one say out the whole word, b-i-g, big.
Game two: make the word. I say one word, for example, small, the students should pick out the letter cards s-m-a-l-l from the twenty-six lettercards and put them into a the word. They should do that as quickly as possible.
In order to practice the sentences:……………..I will use some games.
Game one: work in pairs. One ask “…………….” the other answer “……………”
and then change.
Game two: make a sentence. Each student stands one word, they should stand in a line to make a correct sentence.
Game three: make a longest train. The first student ask the second student “……………..” the second answer it “…………………….” and then ask the third
one. Which group can make a longest train, each of them can win a prize. ；如果是对话课？怎样操练句子的书写呢，只要在家庭作业中有所体现就可以了
Then present the whole dialogue.
I will play the dialogue by multi-media several times.
For the first time, just let them listen and watch, try to understand the whole dialogue. For the second time, I will call some students to translate them one sentence by one sentence.
For the third time, I will let them read after multi-media one sentence by one sentence.
For the fourth time, I will let them read the dialogue with the multi-media together. (无论是词汇课还是对话课)
Teach Let’s play/Let’s do/Group work………………..
The purposes of this step are as follows. I use the cartoon character to present the new words/phrased/sentences, can make students easily to accept and arouse their interesting to learn.
I use many game to practice the words/phrases/sentences, because children’s attention
to one thing is very short, the various games can attract students’ attention all the time.
Students also can learn in play, they are happy to learn.
Step three is consolidation and homework. This step will take about five minutes. (如果是单词或短语)
Firstly, lucky circle time. There is a big circle in the screen, when I press the mouse, the circle will move,. when I press again, the circle will stop. One word will show in the screen, for example, computer. At this time, students should say out this word computer as quickly as possible.
Firstly, role act time. I will ask some groups to act the dialogue, they can use any language they know.
One is that write the new words/phrases/sentences three times
Two is that read the dialogue to your parents
Three is that finish the exercises in activity book.
The purpose of this step is that the game can end this lesson in good atmosphere and consolidate the knowledge. Homework is necessary, because it also can consolidate the knowledge they learned in class.
At last, let me sum-up my lesson. I think this lesson reflects the rule of “taking
students as the main part, teachers as the leading factor”. I believe I can fulfill this
lesson and students can learn as much as possible. “Learning by using/Learning for
