solutions hub in Bangalore

Bangalore, 16th December, 2009: Carnation Auto today announced its entry into Bangalore with the
launch of its first independent Multi-brand Auto Solutions Hub in Marathahalli. The brainchild of
auto industry veteran Mr Jagdish Khattar, Carnation has been set up with a vision to provide its
customers a one-stop shop for all their car needs. The multi-brand concept is relatively new in India,
but common across the more developed markets having a third or more of the aftermarket service
market share. Multi-brand service providers are especially relevant for multiple brand car owners-
families, fleet operators and corporate clients.
A highly unique offering, the Carnation model aggregates the needs of various key stakeholders,
including Insurance companies, manufacturers and car owners. Carnation is entering a white space,
which is between the OEM franchise network and the neighborhood garage, to provide an
alternative to car owners as they seek a quality service provider, since a large majority of them leave
the authorised network post the warranty period. The top 3 brands have over 80% market share,
while the other manufactures share the balance 20%. Carnation provides automobile manufacturers
a more efficient route-to-market through a faster nationwide retail presence, scale efficiencies and
servicing support. Carnation has a compelling value proposition especially for those with limited
market share and small car park, but even those who are experiencing capacity constraints with
their existing networks. Carnation also has strategic partnerships with many of the leading General
Insurance companies to undertake body-shop work on a pan-India basis.
