    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

     The Construction Industries Board shall license without examination any person who can demonstrate to the Committee that the person was

    actively engaged in home inspection work on November 1, 2001, and had been actively engaged in such work for at least six (6) months or any person who can demonstrate that, prior to November 1, 2001, the person successfully completed a home inspection course offered or sanctioned by a home inspection foundation or a home inspection association. Demonstration that the person has actively engaged in home inspections prior to November 1, 2001, must include copies of invoices for work done in the field for the six (6) months prior to November 1, 2001, as well as at least three satisfactory references from three customers served during the twelve (12) months prior to November 1, 2001.

     NOTE: Applicants for Licensure by Reciprocity should be advised that applications will be approved by the Committee

     of Home Inspector Examiners pending receipt of insurance as indicated below.

     EVIDENCE OF GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE:

    Attach a copy of your Certificate of Insurance for comprehensive general liability insurance of no less than

    Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage. The

    Certificate of Insurance shall provide for thirty (30) days notice to the Home Inspection License Unit,

    Construction Industries Board, 2401 NW 23rd St, Ste 5, Oklahoma City, OK 73107-2428, prior to

    cancellation or material alteration of the required insurance.

    Please mail $280 check or money order made payable to the Construction Industries Board (includes

    $250 licensing fee and $30 non-refundable licensure application fee), this application, and any

    All natural persons fourteen (14) years of age or older and present in the United States, applying for a license with

    the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board are required, by the provisions of 56 O.S. Supp. 2007 ? 71, to provide the

    Board with verification of lawful presence in the United States by executing one of the Affidavits below before a notary

    public or other officer authorized to notarize affidavits under State law. The Board’s licensing offices are staffed with

    notaries who are available to provide notary service at no cost to Applicants.
