    Introduction to WHQL Policies

Microsoft Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) tests and qualifies systems and device/driver

combinations according to the "Designed for Microsoft? Windows?" Logo Program for Hardware

    requirements, as defined at http://www.microsoft.com/whdc/winlogo/default.mspx.

    How to Use This Document

This document does not apply to submissions made using the HCT or DCT kits. This document only applies to submissions made using DTM. Exceptions to this exist for logo programs that will

the HCT and DCT kits prior to the release of Windows Vista RC1.

This is a draft policy document that is not in final form and will be continually updated and posted

for review until the documents final release date at the release of Windows Vista RC1. Please

review the document and provide feedback to the appropriate WHQL support alias:

whqlsys@microsoft.com if you are testing systems or servers. whqldt@microsoft.com if you are testing devices. dcttest@microsoft.com if you are testing graphics adapters.

Refer to the updated date in each section to determine if a policy has changed since you last
